HOOP pushes knowledge exchange with a full agenda of events on bioeconomy

As we slowly say goodbye to summer, the HOOP project is jumping into its last year. It’s a quite active moment for the HOOP cities and regions and technical partners that are fully involved in the organisation of several key events on bioeconomy. Be sure to save the date and grab all these learning and exchange opportunities.

  • 28 September | HOOP Lunch Talks Season 3 – Episode I: HOOP Trainers: neighbours shape circular bioeconomy playing and debating
    14:00 – 14:30 | Online

The third season of the HOOP Lunch Talks is back with an episode focused on how gamification can help to reflect on circular economy and create bioproducts. HOOP partner Science for Change will unveil the exciting Citizen Science initiatives within HOOP. Join the event to discover how citizens have trained the avatar Dubiop in the art of transforming organic waste into valuable bioproducts and have transformed the data gathered in the game into valuable improvement proposals for optimising the separate collection of OFMSW.

  • 10 October | Implementation Funding Tools for Municipalities & Regions: TAIEX EIR Peer-to-Peer Projects and HOOP Network
    11:30 – 12:30 | SQUARE Brussels Meeting Centre, Room 206

As part of the European Week of Regions and Cities, HOOP partner ACR+ and Municipal Waste Europe are organising an event to present two tools that can help municipalities or regions to turn the law into practical achievements through cross-border cooperation programmes, both funded by the European Commission: TAIEX EIR Peer-to-Peer and the HOOP Network. With a focus on waste management and bioeconomy, this is a unique opportunity to learn what the benefits of these projects are and how to apply for them.

The members of the HOOP Network of Cities and Regions are encouraged to register for the session, and get the opportunity to get access to all the events of the European Week for Regions and Cities. For the members of the HOOP Network, all the travel costs (hotel, flight/train tickets, food) are covered by the project. If you want to join the Network, check this out.
